About Us
Imagine you and your fellow New Mexico Sitzmarkers members on a winter skiing adventure in the heart of the Colorado's Rockies. The snow is perfect: a soft, powdery blanket that makes the mountains glow under a pale morning sun.
Always adventurous, your usual ski partner races down the slopes first, laughing as he flies over the powder, leaving a smooth trail behind him. But as he goes for an impressive jump, he misjudges the landing, collapsing into the snow with a loud "Oof!"
You and another friend slide to a stop next to him, bursting into laughter. In the snow is his perfect sitzmark—a deep, bowl-like indentation left behind from where he fell.
"Oh, nice!" you yell. "You couldn't have left a better one if you had tried."
