Top Golf Event Pictures
Much fun was had by all at ABQ’s glorified driving range…Top Golf! Some folks came as spectators, but quickly joined in the play. Where else can you wack a golf ball at the same time being served cocktails and dinner? Plus there were sofas for lounging between tee times! Players were divided into (3) groups with each person giving their best efforts at aiming for various tees. The computer kept score. The stand-outs were Joan Schueller, Jeff Yingling and Mike Cassisa as their skills were well beyond the novices. Those present were: Phil & Cindy Newman; Mike & Linda Campbell; Nancy Ruscetti; Dorine Gaylor; Joan Schueller; Marlene Brown; Phil & Julie Dreike; Lee & Janice Chavez; Jeff Yingling; Mike Cassisa; and Paul Adkin. We had a ball…golf ball that is…pun intended 😊.
Purgatory Ski Trip
Purgatory, February 6-9, 2026
20 fun friends went on the Purgatory trip. We enjoyed 2 blue bird days of skiing. Although the snow was not the best, we made the best of it!
The trip started with the Rio Grande Best Western complimentary happy hour. Was great to get caught up. Out to dinner at various Durango restaurants followed by watch the opening ceremony of the Olympics.
Saturday morning with a leisurely breakfast courtesy of the hotel. On to the slopes and all met for lunch.
Saturday evening was fun with the Sitzmarker Gift Swamp with the outdoorsy theme. Lots of good stuff for this active group of friends. Then off to Steamworks for a dinner of good food, and great conversation. A group finished the evening at local bars–hard to believe!
We made friends with the Phoenix ski club who were staying at the hotel. Fun to meet like minded people.
Also made friends with folks from NM who were at Purgatory for the weekend. Invited them to join the Sitzmarkers.
Look at the gallery of pictures to see first hand the laughs we had!

Monarch Ski Trip
Monarch Ski Trip, January 8-11, 2026
Our first trip to Monarch—and it was GREAT. 27 fun friends on the trip made it very special. We had some new snow and were able to duck into No Name (open for the first time this season) for a couple of runs. The mountain gave us everything promised, from cruisers to challenging steeps.
We had a wonderful evening social event at Creekside Chalets and Cabins. It was great to catch up with friends and meet new folks who joined us. The snow flake charms or wine charms were a great hallmark for the trip.
The accommodations were nice, with great feedback on the hot tubs.
We will do it again!
