SNO – Top Golf

Attention all Sitzmarkers, friends of Sitzmarkers, golfers and want-to-be golfers-no experience needed! To kick off 2026, mark your calendar for what we believe will be one of the most fun and enjoyable social events of the year.
On February 12, we plan to meet at Top Golf in Albuquerque for an evening of fun, laughter, food, and sportsmanship as we all try to hit the ball to the correct spot. No previous golfing experience is necessary, and golf clubs are provided, or bring your own. We plan to meet at 5:30 where we will all purchase our play tickets. Food and adult beverages are available for purchase. Depending on how many will be attending, we may be able to reserve special golf bays.
The golfing area is heated and covered so weather will not be an issue. You must RSVP with your intent. If enough people plan on attending, we will get discounts. It is expected the cost will be about $20 for golf play, if we don’t get any discounts. Please RSVP to Phil Newman (C) 214 437-3734 by January 31. We are looking forward to having some fun with other duffers and want-to-be duffers!
Enjoy year-round comfort in our hitting bays with cooling fans in the summer and heated bays in the winter, all with HDTVs in every bay and throughout our sports bar and restaurant. Using our complimentary clubs or your own, take aim at the giant outfield targets and our high-tech balls will score themselves.

Wolf Creek Ski Trip

The trip will be in March. As you know March provides great snow fall for great skiing and boarding. Stay tuned in for more information.

Saturday, November 15, 6 pm-7:30 pm. Doors open at 5:30 pm

Doors open at 5:30, the show will start promptly at 6:00 pm! No paper tickets will be issued – just be prepared to show your confirmation email and/or provide your name at the door. The movie screening will be outdoors, so bundle up & THINK SNOW!

Purgatory Ski Trip

This is a drive-up trip. We will work with people who are going on the trip to coordinate those who are driving and those who need a ride. We hope that drivers will take 3 passengers. Drivers will receive a transportation fee from the Club based upon the number of passengers. (No need to figure out how each person “chips-in”)
We will be staying at Best Western Plus Rio Grande Inn. Breakfast is included. Cocktail/beer tickets. Walking distance to restaurants. Continuing the tradition of “White Elephant” exchange with a new twist on Saturday evening TBA. No host dinner groups for Saturday evening.

Ski Trip Announcement: Monarch Ski Resort
NMSitzmarkers Ski Trip to Monarch Mountain
January 8-11, 2026
We are going to Monarch Mountain in Salida, CO!
This will be the first season with their expansion. You want to be part of this trip. The Monarch Mountain No Name Expansion is an exciting development project that will enhance the ski area’s offerings by adding 377 acres of new terrain and 10-12 new named runs. The terrain will feature 1,000 vertical feet with a variety of options for skiers and riders, including intermediate and advanced trails with groomed, bump, and a glades section. This expansion aims to provide 50% more skiable acres accessible from the Breezeway or Panorama Lifts.
This will be a drive up trip and we are coordinating rides. We’ll be staying at Creekside Chalets with full amenities. We’re planning special social events, too. We are NOT buying tickets, since the prices are soooo good. Here is the website to buy your tickets. Monarch Ski Tickets

We will be staying at Creekside Chalets, just minutes from Monarch Mountain and a short drive to Salida. Cabins with full kitchens, private hot tubs. Social plans make this trip special! There are a number of snowshoeing and cross country trails near by.

Valles Caldera Experience, Thursday, September 25, 2026
Valles Caldera Experience
Join your fellow Sitzmarkers for a private, ranger-guided program at Valles Caldera.
September 25th
This will be a drive-up event. Drive yourself or meet at Sandia Casino no later than 8:00 AM to carpool. The trip takes approximately 1-1/2 hours using US Route 550 and NM Route 4.
First, check-in at the Welcome Center by 9:45 AM. All visitors must have an entrance pass, either Standard, Annual, or America the Beautiful/Senior.
Next, we’ll meet at the new Volcano Discovery Center at 10:00 AM.
A ranger will lead a wildlife/wolf program. Some easy hiking on trails will be required. The program will last about 2 hours. As an added attraction, the leaves should be turning around this time.
Afterwards, enjoy lunch at a table under the pines at the Volcano Discovery Center or get together with other Sitzmarkers for a meal at Los Ojos Restaurant & Saloon, the cowboy bar in Jemez Springs.
By the way, the Jemez Falls Campground/Picnic Area is currently closed.
