We are planning to attend the Albuquerque Isotopes baseball game as a group on Tuesday, June 10. Before the game, we plan to hold a “Tailgate Party” in a shady area with trees that is in one of the parking lots north of the football stadium (see map). The tailgate party will begin at 5:00 pm but come when you can. The game starts at 6:35 pm. You can bring any beverage or snacks to the Tailgate party to share with the group. We will provide the tables, plates, cups and flat ware. It will cost $7.00 (credit card only) to park in the lot so you may want to consider car pooling.
We plan to sit in the box seat section (probably Section 108) where the tickets cost $22.20. If you would like tickets to sit with the group, contact Mike Harrison (e-mail: [email protected] or 505-239-2663 Cell) If your credit is good, he will purchase the tickets and distribute them just before the game or you could pick them up at his home during the day on the Monday before the game or on the day of the game. Please note that the game starts at 6:35 pm.

Our chances of getting a block of tickets together will be much better if we buy the tickets at least 5 days ahead of the game day. If you want to participate, please contact Mike soon, certainly by June 8. Not a member of Sitzmarkers, this is a great opportunity to join the Club!

October 2024 – Prez Sez
Welcome to a spectacular 2024-25 year for the Sitzmarker Ski and Social Club. Your new Board has been working hard to implement new and improved processes and find fun activities that can include everyone in our Club.
The year kicked off with a festive Memorial Day BBQ hosted at the home of Jane Aubol. We also had a pleasant 4 th of July Cookout hosted at the home of Julie and Phil Dreike. Great SNOs (Sitzmarkers Night Out) included Happy Hours and Tailgating at the NM United game. The new Membership Year started October 1 with people coming to our Elena Gallego Picnic, signing up for ski trips, membership, winning some fun prizes and enjoying great camaraderie. Start planning your Halloween costume for October 26 th party! There will be prizes given for the best costumes.
We are well underway with the redesign of the Sitzmarker website. The new site willallow us to eliminate most paperwork and automate operations for the Club. Thisincludes migrating all Membership applications, Ski Trip applications, paymentprocessing to our new online system; and enabling seamless communications between our website and Facebook page. A full rollout is planned for later this calendar year.
Another wonderful ski season is upon us. We have trips planned for Wolf Creek, Purgatory, and Crested Butte this year. People are already signed up for each of the trips, with availability for Crested Butte filling up fast. Crested Butte is a ski-in ski-out trip from resort condos. It’s a fabulous opportunity at a great price, so sign up quickly and do not miss out!
Upcoming social functions include Pray for Snow / Potluck, and a Holiday Party. These functions are always well attended, so please come and join in the festivities. I look forward to seeing everyone at upcoming social events or ski trips, and hope everyone is having a wonderful and happy year.
