RV/Camping at Angel Fire Resort
Hello, fellow Sitzmarker members! Phil and Cindy Newman are planning on hosting an RV/cabin event at the Angel Fire Resort on the nights of August 29, 30, and 31, 2026. Given the popularity of this location, it is not too early to mark your calendars and make reservations for this event. We expect that the Angel Fire Resort will fill up quickly. The Angel Fire Resort is among the top RV resorts in the country with large, paved sites, on-site activities, a great club house, spa, as well as pickleball courts. They also have new cabins which are part of the RV park. Tents are not allowed. The Resort is located in one of the most beautiful locations in northern New Mexico where elk, deer, and eagles are frequent visitors. This particular rally will appeal to those who want a more upscale experience and the option to participate in many planned activities. Some of these activities may include:
- Welcome Dutch Treat Dinner in Red River
- Vietnam Memorial tour
- Pickleball play and instruction (equipment provided)
- Horseshoe Contest, ping pong playing, corn hole play
- Option for hiking, golf, or fly fishing
- Planned bike/e-bike rides
- Planned picnic by the lake (option drive or ride bike to lake)
- Progressive dinner
- Game night
- Chair lift and picnic at top of Angle Fire mountain
- Chuckwagon dinner show in Red River

Remember, if you don’t have your own RV, you can rent one or stay in one of their cabins. If you are making a reservation for an RV spot, ask them to put you as close to Phil Newman as possible.
