Pray for Snow event, Saturday, October 17, 2026. 11:00-am til 1 pm

Location: Private home: 40 Tierra Madre Rd, Placitias, NM
Directions: Take I25 N for 11 miles, take Exit 242, head east onto State Rd 165E for 2.6 Miles take 1st left on TierraMadre.
Park in the cul de sac on Tierra Madre Court.

Please bring a brunch for 6 people
A-G    Egg Dishes (Quiche, Casseroles, Hard Boiled Eggs)
H-L    Protein (Breakfast Sausage, Bacon, Ham…
M-O   Breads (Bagels, Tortillas, Muffins, ect….)
P-S     Fruit Trays
T-Z    Drinks or Juices

“Pray for snow” is a cultural slogan and seasonal ritual used by skiers, snowboarders, NM Sitzmarkers and winter resort towns. It expresses a strong, collective desire for heavy winter snowfall so that ski season can open and remain strong.

The Snow God/Goddess will be taking sacrifices so prepare now.

Bring old skies, old boots, mismatched gloves or mittens, socks that have seen better days, one-piece ski suits, old ski passes…along with your stories of why they will bring great snow for the season. (Not to worry, you can keep your sacrifices–no burn is still in effect. Your story will please the Snow God/Goddess.)
